The West Bromwich Building Society has developed a mortgage portal for new and existing customers to help them more effectively manage their accounts.

The portal will enable customers to see their current balance, breakdown of any sub-accounts, their monthly payment details, and the status of the current product they have.

The platform also provides information for customers who are in a mortgage payment deferral period, such as when the deferral period is due to end.

The portal aims to provide more insight and ease of control for customers, especially those who are unable to go into branches due to coronavirus restrictions.

Jamie Bridge, digital experience manager at the West Brom, said: “The launch of the new mortgage portal is the latest digital development for the society and has been designed to help our customers have easy access and more visibility of their mortgage account with us.

“The interface is very user-friendly, and customers will be automatically registered for the service, making it even easier for them to access.”

The platform is fully optimised to work on desktop and mobile devices, and the West Brom’s digital team will be reviewing the functionality regularly and implementing improvements following customer feedback.
