The co-founder and president of New American Funding has been honored as one of the nation’s most powerful Latinas.
Patty Arvielo has won the Association of Lation Professionals of America’s Most Powerful Latinas award, the company has announced. The award honors 50 women who navigate their businesses and industries through these challenging times with a focus on serving their community and the greater good.
Arvielo has 39 years of industry experience. She leads New American Funding’s sales and operations, and has built the company a servicing portfolio of more than 152,000 loans worth $37.8 billion. A first-generation Hispanic-American, Arvielo has made New American Funding a diverse company comprising 59% women, 45% minorities and 36% millennials.
“Our company is strong because of its diversity,” she said. “Being successful means not just doing great in business but spreading a wealth of ideas and kindness to truly empower ourselves and the community for the meaningful and measurable change we want to be.”
Arvielo is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee, the Mortgage Bankers Association Affordable Homeownership Advisory Council, and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. She is also a member of the executive board of Big Brothers and Sisters of Orange County, Calif., and was instrumental in the creation of the LatinX project to symbolize Hispanic culture in America throughout the national park system.
