The electronic signature solution enables digital processing of key legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and policy documents.

It also provides a secure digital identification embedded into an electronic signature that is unique to the signatory and the document.

In addition, the firm recently launched an SRA-compliant Electronic Customer Due Diligence (CDD) app, which verifies client identity and proof of address.

The app carries-out anti-money laundering checks and compliance, address checks, PEPs, sanctions screening, and generates a snapshot of funding sources for conveyancing transactions.

Kate Bould, managing director of Index West Midlands, said: “We are committed to taking on the challenges presented by COVID-19 lockdown and distancing measures, and expanding and enhancing our portfolio of digital products and tech-based services are a vital component of this strategy.

“The new electronic signature solution is the latest of several digital products we have launched this year to help our clients to meet their evolving day-to-day needs while maintaining operational continuity and quality services to their clients.

“Tech is certainly a solution for today’s world of work, but it also saves lawyers significant times on client matter completion with property transaction documentation and authorisation that once took several months, completed in just a few days.”
