BNP Paribas Real Estate’s brand Strutt & Parker has strengthened its development and planning team by appointing Caroline McDade (pictured) as head of planning.

McDade joins from Deloitte, and will be responsible for growing the team, as well as advising on real estate development in London and the UK.

McDade has over 20 years of development and planning experience, spanning residential, large-scale regeneration, infrastructure and commercial schemes.

She will be working closely with Paul Nicholls, BNPPRE’s head of London development, and Simon Kibblewhite, head of national development, as well as the wider planning leadership group.

Stephen Wolfe, head of commercial at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “Caroline has an impressive planning background, having led on large-scale development and infrastructure projects and will strengthen the depth of our business, allowing us to better support our clients across all asset classes throughout the UK and in London.

“Her appointment comes at a great time with the UK’s positive economic outlook, and the government’s levelling-up agenda bringing back market confidence and boosting development activity.

“With Caroline’s wide expertise on large-scale projects, we have all the right capabilities to support our clients in this fast- changing environment to ensure projects can be delivered successfully.”

McDade said: “We are currently seeing a strong commitment from both clients and government to build back better and there is a huge focus on delivering high quality sustainable development and supporting infrastructure.

“With ongoing reform to the planning system, our highly experienced team has the depth of expertise to navigate our clients through these changes.”
